Description
Short
Battle for Noalea is a turn-based fantasy wargame for two players. Lead one of four factions and its hero, seize settlements and outmaneuver your rival in battles without dice and without hidden information. Play online via Steam or in hotseat mode on one screen.
Long
Battle for Noalea is a turn-based strategy game for two players. Each of you leads a faction and one of its heroes, and you fight over a single map for control of Noalea.
Settlements are the heart of it. They pay income every round, and only there can you build and recruit. Take neutral settlements, conquer your rival’s in battle, and turn every gain into stronger armies, upgrades and bigger settlements.
There are no random elements. A battle’s outcome follows only from the decisions of both players, and the game shows you the best possible result before you attack. Both players see everything at all times: units, gold and crystal, upgrades, heroes and items. Every move can be worked out in advance. You win by planning better, not by rolling better.
Features
- Four factions: Blood Raiders, Highborn, Iron Weavers and Arcane Mutants, each with its own upgrades.
- Twelve heroes: three per faction. Every hero levels up along a path of ten levels with their own skills.
- Upgrades in three tiers: unlock and equip upgrades for your army as your settlements grow.
- Combat preview: see round by round what an attack will cost before you commit.
- No dice, nothing hidden: every outcome follows from the players’ decisions.
- Online or hotseat: challenge a friend via Steam, or share one screen.
- In-game handbook: every rule explained, with worked examples.
